Our Mission

The mission of the Petaluma Peer Recovery Center is to build community by fostering growth and recovery through connection with mental health peers.

What We’re About

We respect individual pathways to wellness and value self-direction as well as mutual support. We strive to empower ourselves and each other through education, creativity, and discovery.

Our center is available to members for drop-in services, including: round-table discussions, support groups, art, guest presentations and more. We are a center of adults (18+) with lived mental health challenges. Membership to all is free.

Our Program

The Petaluma Peer Recovery Center is consumer operated & is funded by the Sonoma County Behavioral Health Division.

PPRC is funded by Sonoma County Department of Health Services through the voter-approved Mental Health Services Act (Prop. 63). It is one of several MHSA programs implemented by Sonoma County Behavioral Health, a county government organization working to improve mental health outcomes for individuals, families and communities. Our Staff

Cameron Schudy, Assistant Manager; Jennifer, Peer Support Specialist; Lana Zientek, Peer Support Specialist; and Sean Kelson, PPRC Manager.

Our History

PPRC was founded in January of 2012 by volunteers as the Petaluma Peer Recovery Project becoming the Peer Recovery Center in 2017 with our move to our current location.  PPRC is supported by Sonoma County Behavioral Health who contracted with West County Services in July 2020 to run peer services and is funded by the Mental Health Services Act and donations.

Both members and staff of PPRC have experienced mental health challenges. The PPRC Community is dedicated to supporting one another through wellness, compassion, creativity, and humor.

We respect individual pathways to wellness and value self-direction as well as mutual support. We strive to empower ourselves and each other through education, creativity, and discovery.
