With the Sebastopol community’s help, 81 formerly homeless and extremely low income residents returned to Park Village after the worst flood in a generation.

February’s historic flood inundated hundreds of local homes including several at the WCCS housing project, Park Village. All Park Village families found shelter for the several days the park was emptied and returned home safely within two weeks.

Through client, WCCS and community efforts the Park now houses 81 extremely low income tenants, including eight formerly homeless families. A partnership with the City of Sebastopol, Park Village has proven a cost-effective solution to housing 25% of the city’s homeless population.
