Rapid Re-housing Information

WCCS Rapid Re-Housing is part of a grant-funded effort to reduce homelessness in the lower Russian River area. Through financial assistance and supportive services, WCCS Rapid Re-Housing program assists families and individuals in becoming stably housed and financially self-sufficient.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Literally homeless* at the time of intake (referred through coordinated entryor within 14 days or less of becoming homeless and have received a Pay or Quit letter.
  • Must be able to financially sustain your housing situation, once assistance is completed.
  • Willing to engage in regular case management.
  • Resident(s) of the lower Russian River Area (Forestville to Jenner).

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Rapid Re-Housing offers financial assistance to those needing a one-time security deposit or short to medium-term rental assistance (which may also include security deposit):

  • One-time Security Deposit – Applicants must have located a rental property already at the time of application.
  • Rental Assistance- Applicants do not need to have property secured at the time of application.

  • Housing Search and Placement
    • Assessment of housing barriers and needs
    • Development of an action plan for locating housing
    • Outreach and negotiation with local landlords
    • Tenant counseling
  • Financial Assistance
    • Security Deposit
    • Portion of Monthly Rent
  • Housing Stabilization
    • Case management, which includes budgeting and a realistic plan to achieve
      self-sufficiency
    • On-going support of tenant/landlord relationship
    • Employment assistance
    • Linking with local, federal and state resource
