Kira McMillen of Guerneville stars in two roles at West County Community Services. She first came to WCCS through the Youth Education and Employment Services program to learn administrative, computer and other professional skills at the agency’s front desk. A fast learner, Kira has mastered Word, Excel and is a great resource to community members looking for information and support.

Kira also has joined Project Nourish, a job training and intergenerational learning program at the Russian River Senior Center. Kira works with other youth and a professional chef to cook lunches for 15-50 hungry seniors at the Center, learning customer service, culinary, sanitation, and other critical employment skills. It is rare that someone so young has the capacity to serve with excellence in two such different roles. But Kira does and the Russian River area is fortunate she is here.
