Cynthia in the garden

By Christopher Oak Reinier

Parsely, Sage, Rosemary and… Tomatoes… pic of ec gardenAnd spinach, and lettuce.  And the delicacies go from garden to the savory lunches being served at the Empowerment Center.

The gardeners and the cooks are the members of the Center.  The experience of growing their own food is a part of their learning, not just to survive, but to be self-sufficient and live an improved quality of life.

The Empowerment Center is indebted to Vets Connect in Guerneville for their donation of the materials and the labor to create the beds for the bountiful gardens that have emerged.
