Adventures for Kids, Summer 2021

For the last 30 years Adventures for Kids, a summer recreation and family support program,as provided West County youth and families with many opportunities to explore nature, develop friendships, create new experiences, and just plain relax and HAVE FUN!

This Year we are offering Adventures to Park Village Families every Monday in the month of July. We will be observing social distancing and Adventuring out in a SAFE and FUN way.

July Schedule

July 2 Swimming at Morton’s Warm Springs. Leave Guerneville at 11:00 return at 6pm.
Group limit 8. Swimming, picnic lunch, playing games, and just hangin out. Bring swim suit, towel, sunscreen, lunch and a drink.

July 6 Exploring at Doran Beach and out to ice cream. Leave Guerneville at 11:00 return at 5 pm Playing and relaxing building sand castles catching crabs. Water fun. Group limit 8. Bring layered clothing, lunch and drink, swim clothes, towel and sunscreen and $5.00 for ice cream.

July 13 Bowling at Double Decker Lanes and Lunch. Leave Guerneville at 12:30 return at 4:30
Group limit 8. Bring socks and a lunch and $5.00 for fries and a drink.

July 20 Movie and Pizza. Leave Guerneville at 1:00 return 5:00. We will be seeing an appropriate movie at 3rd St. Cinemas and building our own Pizza at Pieology. Group limit 8.

July 26 Boogie Boarding at Stinson Beach & Pizza at Union Hotel. We’ll play all day at the beach and then eat delicious Pizza. Leave Guerneville at 11:30 return 8 pm. Ages 10 & up. Group 8. Bring swim gear, sunscreen, towel, boogie board, lunch and a drink, and some warm clothing.

Scholarships are available for any fees requested! Lunches are available also.

Families must fill out a registration form and request the Adventures their children want to attend. Based upon how many children sign up the Adventures will be given as fairly as possible. All children will be able to attend some of the Adventures they ask for. Each Child must have their temperatures taken by a no touch thermometer. Children must bring their own mask and will be required to wash hands often.

Kids will be transported in the West County Community Services Youth Van. Deb Holmes is the youth van driver.

Chaperones: Deb Holmes will attend all Adventures with a Youth Helper or a Parent.
